Our team of highly skilled, multi‑disciplined technicians brings deep knowledge across a wide range of NDT and inspection methods, combining professionalism with the practical experience needed to work safely and effectively in any environment.
We are UKAS accredited, hold ISO 9001 certification, and work to the requirements of ISO 17020, ensuring every service we deliver meets the highest standards of quality, competence, and traceability.
From our headquarters in Cramlington, Northumberland — and with new facilities opening across the country — we mobilise quickly to support clients nationwide and internationally. Whether it’s a planned project or a rapid‑response requirement, we’re equipped to be on site at short notice, delivering the same high standard of service wherever we’re needed.
Accreditations
At Charlton Metal Testing, quality and competence sit at the core of everything we do. All of our technicians are PCN‑qualified, ensuring every inspection is carried out by trained, certified professionals with proven technical ability. As a company, we hold UKAS‑accredited ISO 9001 certification and operate in line with the requirements of ISO 17020, giving our clients confidence in our processes, reporting, and overall inspection integrity.
We are also recognised by major classification and approval bodies, including ABS and Bureau Veritas, allowing us to support marine, offshore, and high‑integrity projects that demand strict compliance and traceability. These accreditations reflect our commitment to maintaining the highest standards across every service we deliver.

Our offices are open Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:30, with technicians and support staff available to assist with bookings, enquiries, and project planning.
While our office hours are fixed, emails are monitored throughout the weekend, ensuring urgent requests are picked up quickly and responded to without delay.
