Visual Inspection is the foundation of any effective quality‑control programme, and at Charlton Metal Testing it’s carried out by CSWIP 3.0 and 3.1 certified welding inspectors with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of fabrication standards. Our inspectors combine practical welding knowledge with formal qualification, allowing them to identify non‑conformances, assess weld quality, and verify compliance long before more advanced NDT methods are required.

We support fabrication shops, construction sites, shutdowns, and in‑service plant across the UK and internationally, mobilising quickly to meet project demands. Our inspectors work confidently in both early‑stage fabrication and final acceptance phases, using a full suite of gauges, lighting equipment, and measurement tools to ensure welds and components meet the required specifications.
